Autumn 2023

Reception had a very busy Autumn Term filled with lots of fun learning and activities.

In phonics we learnt all of our single letter sounds and practised reading and spelling cvc words.

In Maths we focused on our numbers between 0 and 5. Recognising, writing and ordering these numbers. We practised matching amounts to numerals and finding different ways of making 5.

We learnt about Baptism and visited the church to see the font. We also learnt about the festivals of Diwali and Hannukah and made our own Diya lamps out of clay.

We had an exciting build up to Christmas learning about Advent and The Nativity Story.
