Summer 2024
We have had a very busy half term in Foxes.
In Art we have been looking at Sculptures, in particular abstract sculptures. The children learnt how to attach different 2D shapes to make a 3D sculpture with and without using glue to hold it together. They used inspiration from playground equipment to make their own abstract sculpture.
In English, we have been looking at the features of play scripts. The children worked in groups to act out a scene from Little Red Riding Hood, before using the story of the Three Little Pigs to write their own playscripts using all of the features.
In Maths, we have been learning about time. We have been practicing telling the time to the minute and have begun converting time between analogue and 12-hour digital time.
In RE, we have been looking at Reconciliation. We thought about what Reconciliation is and what happens throughout the Sacrament of Reconciliation. The children work with their partner to act out the Sacrament of Reconciliation.
