School Council
The School Council is an essential part of our school community, bringing together children, teachers, and staff to collaborate and make a positive impact on our school environment. Our council plays a key role in giving children a voice and an opportunity to actively contribute to the decision-making process, helping shape the future of our school.
Our Mission
The mission of the School Council is to represent the interests and ideas from all the children, while working closely to improve school life. The council strives to foster a welcoming, inclusive, and vibrant school culture that supports children’s well-being, academic success, and personal growth.
What We Do
- Organise school-wide events and activities, such as spirit days, fundraisers, and social events, raffles, non-uniform days, Operation Christmas child. The School Council have a food bank set up in the entrance of the school to help families with low incomes, who may be in need of food or toiletry supplies.
- Provide feedback and suggestions on school improvements, ideas, and initiatives.
- Advocate for children’s needs and concerns, ensuring all voices are heard.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to support a positive and engaging learning environment.
Meet Our Council
The School Council consists of elected representatives from each class from Year 1 to Year 6, EYFS and Key stage 1 feedback ideas in our School Council box, in the school hall and years 3-6 meet every half-term to discuss issues, plan events, and implement new ideas. These representatives serve as a bridge between children, ensuring open communication and collaboration.
